When we first envisioned the PHARMACIA, we wanted it to be a unique pharmacy experience centered on our customers’ wellness. A place where you can get your questions answered, your problems solved and your needs met.

Simply, the PHARMACIA is your one-stop shop for all the following services.

The “one-size-fits-all” nature of many mass-produced medications means that some patients’ needs were not being met. Medication Compounding is the art and science of creating personalized medications, providing customized treatment options when commercial products are unavailable or unsuitable.

We offer many solutions for your medication challenges. Compounding solutions include offering discontinued medications, modifying dosage forms and strengths, removing allergens, improving taste and mixing multiple medications into one dosage form. Our compounding solutions include:

Immunization is key to preventing disease among the general population. Sometimes it is as simple as a quick visit to your pharmacy. Immunizations, also known as vaccines, safely and effectively uses a small amount of a weakened or killed virus or bacteria or bits of lab-made protein that imitate the virus in order to prevent infection by that same virus or bacteria. The injection triggers your body's immune response, causing it to either produce antibodies to that particular ailment or induce other processes that enhance immunity.

Consequently, if you're ever again exposed to the actual disease-causing organism, your immune system is prepared to fight the infection. A vaccine will usually prevent the onset of a disease or else reduce its severity.

Walk-in to receive vaccination at the PHARMACIA by our certified immunizing pharmacists. Walk-in vaccines that we offer include flu, pneumonia and shingles vaccines. Other vaccines are available by appointment only. Please call for details.

The PHARMACIA also can work with your organization or business to offer vaccination clinics on-site at your location or ours.

The goal of public health is to prevent disease. It's much easier and more cost-effective to prevent a disease than to treat it. That's exactly what immunizations aim to do!

The National Foundation of Infectious Disease lists that these are 10 reasons to be vaccinated.

  1. Vaccine-preventable diseases haven’t gone away.
The viruses and bacteria that cause illness and death still exist and can be passed on to those who are not protected by vaccines. In a time when people can travel across the globe in just one day, it’s not hard to see just how easily diseases can travel too.

  2. Vaccines will help keep you healthy.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends vaccinations throughout your life to protect against many infections. When you skip vaccines, you leave yourself vulnerable to illnesses such as shingles, pneumococcal disease, influenza, HPV and hepatitis B; both of which are leading causes of cancer.

  3. Vaccines are as important to your overall health as diet and exercise. Like eating healthy foods, exercising, and getting regular check-ups, vaccines play a vital role in keeping you healthy. Vaccines are one of the most convenient and safest preventive care measures available.

  4. Vaccination can mean the difference between life and death.
Vaccine-preventable infections are dangerous. Every year, approximately 50,000 U.S adults die from vaccine-preventable diseases in the US.

  5. Vaccines are safe.
The US has the best post-licensure surveillance system in the world making vaccines extremely safe. There is extraordinarily strong data from many different medical investigators all pointing to the safety of vaccines. In fact, vaccines are among the safest products in all of medicine.

  6. Vaccines won’t give you the disease they are designed to prevent.
You cannot “catch” the disease from the vaccine. Some vaccines contain “killed” virus, and it is impossible to get the disease from them. Others have live, but weakened, viruses designed to ensure that you cannot catch the disease.

  7. Young and healthy people can get very sick, too.
Infants and the elderly are at a greater risk for serious infections and complications in many cases, but vaccine-preventable diseases can strike anyone. If you’re young and healthy, getting vaccinated can help you stay that way.

  8. Vaccine-preventable diseases are expensive.
An average influenza illness can last up to 15 days, typically with five or six missed work days. Adults who get hepatitis A lose an average of one month of work.

  9. When you get sick, your children, grandchildren and parents are at risk, too.
A vaccine-preventable disease that might make you sick for a week or two could prove deadly for your children, grandchildren, or parents if it spreads to them. When you get vaccinated, you’re protecting yourself and your family. For example, adults are the most common source of pertussis (whooping cough) infection in infants, which can be deadly in infants. In 2010 alone, 25 US infants died from whooping cough.

  10. Your family and coworkers need you.
In the US each year, millions of adults get sick from vaccine-preventable diseases, causing them to miss work and leaving them unable to care for those who depend on them, including their children and/or aging parents.

Please contact the pharmacy for more information about pricing and availability.

Patient should bring insurance information and photo ID. We recommend call us to confirm that we have the vaccine in stock. Appointment are not required. Wear loose fitted clothing so the pharmacist can gain easy access to the vaccine area.

Vaccines are considered safe. As with any medication, they can have side effects. In most cases these are usually mild. Most common minor reactions to an immunization are:

  • Soreness or redness around the injection site.
  • Low-grade fever.

Side effects like these usually disappear in a few days. In extremely rare instances a high fever (excess of 104 F) can occur with a vaccine. Fevers like this will not harm your children, but they can make them uncomfortable and upset.

“I am a new customer to the PHARMACIA after being a loyal customer to my local retail pharmacy for over 7 years. I was very apprehensive coming to the PHARMACIA after the horrific experience I dealt with the other pharmacy. Transferring my prescriptions to the PHARMACIA is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! Their delivery program is fantastic! I was concerned if my home fell in their distance proximity requirement, but your health is the PHARMACIA’S top priority!” - Z. Johnson

“I love the PHARMACIA! I am considered to be biased because they are the only pharmacy I have every used but I will never use another pharmacy. Not to mention that I am not familiar with any local pharmacies that offer FREE delivery to their customers. All the employees and pharmacists are at my disposable day or night, and treat me like a person rather than a number” - R. Rossi

“I always get my prescriptions delivered faster than I can see my physician for an appointment! Punctuality is just another name for the PHARMACIA!” - Erica

“Up until my recent diagnosis, I never utilize the free delivery service at the PHARMACIA. I was like every other customer and went to drop and pick up my prescriptions. Due to recent events, I am no longer mobile and I am unable to be outside for more than 7 minutes. the PHARMACIA is truly an unforeseen hero! It goes without saying that you don’t know what you have until it goes. The PHARMACIA has been there for me in more ways than I can mention. They are more than just a delivery service to me! They have truly become family!” - Betty R.

A prescription from a licensed practitioner is required for compounded medications.
